THE DANCE
Dear Lord,
Thank you for the storms and trials in life, reminding me of my fragility and need for you. Though we experience or perceive realities of the world we live in, it is this experiential knowledge of the heightening of the senses that forms our understanding of the world around us. Our perception of ourself and our perception of others, as well as our perception of the state of reality that we experience through the perceiving what the senses tell us is reality, becomes our reality indeed. Though seen through the brokenness of a sin stained world, a sinful human race and a fallen cosmos subject to decay, we all eagerly perceive the need of restoration to a perfected state and a longing for eternity. These cries through the brokenness of sin and the marred filter it left, blindly fix our gaze on a wrong view of ourselves and others. It is only through the perfected untainted view of our Heavenly Father’s completeness and perfected knowledge that we become all he created us to be. Only through His pure eyes can we be seen whole, complete and lovely. It is our great burst of worship when we catch a glance and experience the understanding of our Father, who no one has ever seen, his love for us and his compassion and grace for us. Through this understanding of the radical love of a perfect holy awesome God for mankind, do we come to realize with understanding just a glimpse of who He says we are and our rightful view of ourself and others. So the cries of brokenness and sin that give way for opportunity bow down to the song of worship we sing, knowing the lens will one day be made clear and untainted. We sing the song of praise in the mess of the decay, in the pit of opportunity—perceiving his grace, we serve the song and pass the dance to another to find such freedom. Freedom in the unfiltered lens of what will one day be fully realized and unstained by our perception of ourselves. Will you have this dance?

“‘Go to this people and say,“ You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.”
For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’
“Therefore I want you to know that God’s salvation has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will listen!”
For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!”
Acts.28.26-31
